Eden’s Way Farm Sanctuary

We are a registered non-profit vegan farm animal sanctuary, located in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 2019, we have been dedicated to rescusing abused, neglected, abandoned, and surrendered farm animals.

Our Mission

Our mission at Eden’s Way Farm Sanctuary is to provide a permanent lifelong home to rescued, abandoned, and surrendered farm animals, which promotes their healing, well-being, and flourishing. We also aim to provide a place where people can connect with the animal residents, learn about their stories and farm animal welfare, and be inspired to make more compassionate and creulty-free choices in their own lives.

Our Story

Eden’s Way Farm Sanctuary began as a dream for its found, Jaye Dueck, who has deeply cared for animals since her childhood growing up on a ranch in Northern Alberta. Although, life led her into a different world of city living, academia, and a career as a psychologist, her heart increasingly longed to return to a farm where she could establish an animal sanctuary.

In July 2019, this seemling impossible dream came true, when she and her husband, Murray Dueck, purchased and moved to a beautiful 20-acre hobby farm nestled between the South Thompson-River and sage-filled hills in Kamloops, BC.

Within, their first week on the farm, they saved 2 horses and 2 dairy calves and since then have slowly grown, rescuing several farm animals from dairy cattle to rabbits. In September 2020, the sanctuary became a registered non-profit organization.
